2013-2014 Competition Tryouts

 Competition Tryouts for next season will be on Monday June 10th and Wednesday June 12th. Dancers will need to come in proper dance attire with hair pulled back and ready to learn a very short routine as well as show their skills across the floor! Dancers must be 5 yrs old by Oct. 1st unless approved by Misty. We have Teams for every age and every level! Monday is for all beginning and intermediate team and Wednesday auditions are for Company teams. You have to have a clean triple pirouette and Fouettes and advanced skills to be on a company team!! If you tryout on Monday and we think you would be good on a company team we will let you  know!                                        Monday June 10                                                                     Wednesday June 12th

come proofread recital Program..Make sure your dancers name is spelled correctly

Preliminary Recital Program will be hung on the wall at the Studio. If you care that your dancers name is spelled right or if they are in the correct show or even on the program please come and look at the program and correct anthing wrong. If it is wrong on the final program and you did not come in to look at it...well then its not my fault! Big Busy Week ahead of us!

Message from Misty

I can’t believe we are just a few weeks away from our big Recital! The dancers have been working so hard on their routines and are so excited to show their family and friends! Please do not miss any classes this month for it is hard for the teacher to clean and space  the dances with missing dancers!  There is a lot of important information in this note so please read carefully!!!

Costumes

All Costumes are in and have been tried on and handed out to the dancers. If you have not received yours it is because either you were gone that day or you still owe $40 for the costume! All left costumes are in the office.

Summer and Fall Registration

Registration will begin on May 6^th for both summer and Fall There will be a schedule for both on our blog at ultimatedanceetc.blogspot.com as well as on our Facebook page.

Spring Recital and Dress Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal for all Non-competitive class are on Friday May 17^th at Ultimate Dance Studio. Class Pictures will be immediately after each rehearsal. Dress rehearsal Mandatory!! Picture Purchase is optional. Dancers must come in full costume with hair and makeup done! All girl dancer will need their hair sides up and bangs back and curly. All Ballet /jazz and Ballet /Tap classes will need White tights and pink ballet shoes except for Ms. Michelles class. Ms. Michelles classes will be wearing Tan tights that I will give them next week. All Hip hop classes will need street workout shoes. The following is the time each class needs to be there for rehearsal:

Please arrive 5 minutes early so that we can start their rehearsal right on their call time!

There will be two recitals on Saturday May 18^th One show is at 11 the other is at 1:30 Each class is only in one show.The Recital will be held at Willowcreek Middle school in the Auditorium. Each show will last about 1 ½ hrs. Here is a list of what teams/classes are in which Recital. These are not in the order of the show just who is in which show. As you may not know it is extremely hard to put together a successful show and there are a lot of different things that go into planning a recital. I did try my hardest to keep families in the same show, but it is impossible to please everyone. Please do not complain and moan if you are not with the people you wanted to be with. Please make this a positive experience for your dancer! This is not final, and may change some if I see a need to change it. Thanks you for your wonderful support I am sure you will love seeing your dancers light up the stage!!!

Nationals Lagoon Competition Team Line ups

Its Nationals time! For those who have competed before you know this is a crazy competition and for those who haven't........Welcome to Chaos!
This is a Huge competition there will be 100's of studios from many different states and thousands of dancers. There are 2 stages that we are dancing on so please be aware of what stage you are performing on!
Everyone needs to meet on the west side of the dressing room which is located south of the canyon stage and east of the davis stage. be there ready in costume, hair and make up at the time given! Please keep in mind it takes at least 15 minutes to get to the stages from the parking lot and the early teams it took 1hr. to get through the gates and to the stage so please plan accordingly. PLEASE DO NOT BE PULLING INTO THE PARKING LOT AT YOUR TIME GIVEN!!!
All tickets to get into lagoon are on line! I do not have anything to give to you, you have to get them online!
go to www.americaonstage.org click on the lagoon pass link and purchase the ticket you need. There are 3 different kinds. 1. competitors pass( free does not include rides) 2. Spectator pass ($11 does not include rides 3. Discounted ride pass(for those who want to ride rides $31.95) you can either print the coupon out or pay online and not have to wait in the lines. Lines can get rather long.
For solos on Friday the rides are not open so you can just walk in at no charge.
you can also print out discounted parking passes as well!

Message from Misty

I hope everyone had a fabulous spring Break! I had an unforgettable time watching some of our amazing dancers perform at Disneyland! I am so proud of our dancers!

As we near the end of another great dance season there is a lot of information to go over. So please read through this note thoroughly and be in the know of what is happening!

Recital/Costumes

Costumes for all non-competition classes are way overdue!! If you have not paid for your dancers costume please do so ASAP.  I cannot give them their costume if they are not paid for! Costume fee is $40

The Year end Spring Recital will be Saturday May 18^th at Willowcreek Jr. High. There will be a Dress Rehearsal on Friday May 17^th at Ultimate Dance Studio for all non-competitive classes.  Both Competitive and Non-Competitive Classes will be a part of the recital. All classes are working hard on their routines to get ready for the show! There will be two different recitals and each class/team will only be in one show!! There will be a show at 11 and a show at 1:30. I will let you know what show your child will be in soon! Call time for those shows will be 30 minutes prior to showtime! The recital is free admission for family and friends so invite anyone you would like!!!

Summer and Fall 2013 Registration

Registration for Sumer and Fall Session will begin on Monday May 6^th. Schedules will be out soon!  Be sure to register early  as we usually fill all of our classes before the spring session ends!!  Fall Session is a 4 month session September –December. early bird Tuition is $105 for 45 min class and $120 for 1hour classes if registered and paid for before July 1^st (includes 1month free and no registration fee) or $40/month with a $20 registration fee. All which is non-refundable.

2013-2014 Competition Team Tryouts

Does your dancer want to be a member of one of our award winning Competition Teams??? Competition Tryouts will be June 10^th-12^th. You must be 5 yrs old by September to tryout for a team unless special permission is given by Misty. More info soon on auditions.

Turns and Leaps Technique classes

A couple of my amazing overall high point and other award winning Ultimate co. dancers will be offering some Turns and leaps classes for those who need some extra help on their technique.  These girls are amazing turn and leap technicians. If you are interested in getting some extra help before competition tryouts please let Ty or Misty in the Office know so that we can make up some times! Classes will be $25/ 4 classes. 45min each. If you are interested in Private classes they are $10/ per ½ hour.
