Competition Team Information. 2012-2013
Competitions
Every team will be competing 2 dances at 5 competitions. Company teams may be competing at 6 competitions, If so then add$30 for company team competition fees. I will let you know ASAP!
ALL COMPETITIONS ARE MANDATORY!!!!
Competition Fees are due Dec. 1st $170. If not paid by December 10th there will be a $20 late fee!
Mark your calendars for the following mandatory competitions:
February 23rd- Thanksgiving Point, Lehi-Free Admittance
March 16th-Dance Spectacular, Salt Lake Community College-There is an admission fee at this one for friends and family . This will be our first time attending this competition!
March 23rd-Dixie High School, St. George-Free Admittance …There are 3 dance competitions in St. George this weekend! Make Hotel Reservations immediately because everything will be sold out! I have a few rooms blocked out at the La Quinta 888-788- 2457. It is blocked out under Ultimate Dance, but you will need to call soon before they are sold out. The Competition starts early on the 24th so you would want to spend the night in St. George on the 23rd!
April 27th-Spanish Fork High School, Spanish fork-Free Admittance
May 4th *Nationals*-Lagoon, Farmington-There is an admission fee for this competition
All Solos, duets and Trios will be held the night before the team competitions on Fridays!
Costumes
We are now selecting costumes for this year. We will let you know what color and style of shoes and tights each dancer will need as soon as we have each costume ordered. COSTUME FEES ARE DUE BY NOV. 1ST!! $90 for the year! We cannot order costumes til everyone has paid so please do not be late! There will be a $20 late fee if fees are not paid for by November 10th!
Dance Attire & Attendance
Proper dance attire is essential for each dancers progression. It is hard for the teacher to make correction or to even see if the dancer is practicing proper technique if they are not wearing the proper dance attire.
Leotards, tights and ballet shoes are required for all ballet classes!! Please! Please! Please! make sure that your dancer has her hair pulled back and out of face before she comes to dance.
It is very crucial that dancers are at every single class. It is hard to teach choreography if there are dancers missing. Please be on time so that the dancer does not miss any of the warmup!
Warmups and Bags
I am putting an order in for warmups and bags on October 15th!
If you want to order either one of these items please order and pay for them in the office before October 15th!

September Newsletter
Message from Misty
Welcome back to all of our old dancers and welcome to all of our new dancers! I hope everyone had an amazing summer and is ready for a great dance season! We have all of our amazing dance teachers back from last session and they are so excited to teach. We are now on our 9th year and ready to be as better than ever!
Ultimate Dance spent the summer attending different camps and training classes to make sure we are up to date in the dance and competition world. Some of our dancers and instructors even attended a camp in Idaho for Drill Teams and Dance Studios and brought home the most ribbons, and medals out of anyone at the camp! as well as six of our dancers making the top 10 “Most Valuable Dancers” and two of them making the top 3! We hope to make this the best year yet! If anyone has questions or concerns please send me an email at ultimatedanceetc@yahoo.com. I will be sending home a newsletter every month and posting it on our blog ultimatedanceetc@blogspot.com. Please take time to be informed.
Please Be Aware
We are very lucky to almost be full in every class which means there will be a lot of traffic these first few weeks. Please be cautious as you drive into the facility area and parking lot. Please do not park in front of the studio door for it blocks traffic. There is plenty of overflow parking in the parking lot east of our building. Please do not park on the street in front of the Townhomes for that is owned by an HOA and they will tow your car.
There will be dancers running to their cars so please drive slow and watch closely for others.
Please have a game plan with your dancers of whether you are going to come inside and get them or if they need to meet you on the curb. I prefer all dancers under 8yrs old to wait inside of the studio until their parents arrive. I do not want them to go to the park unless the parent lets me know that is ok.
Tuition and Warmups
Please remember tuition is now due for the Fall 2011 Session! We will be ordering Ultimate Dance Warm-ups and bags soon. If your dancer wants one please sign up in the office. I need all orders in and paid by October 5th. Bags are $25 Jackets are $40 and Pants are $40!

Please remember that proper dance attire is required for each class! Each dancer must wear leotards and tight with ballet shoes for their ballet class. Hair must be pulled back! We will have a parents meeting Wed September 26th @ 7:30 to go over competitions and fees!
We are planning on Performing at Disneyland this year! Dancers must be 7 years old to perform. This will be over spring break, probably around April 3rd or 4th. We have to send in an audition tape soon and have to give a round about # of performer soon. So, if you are planning on going or thinking about going please let Misty or Ty know in the office! We would like to send in the tape by the end of October. We will be able to get heavily discounted tickets for both performers and their families. We only need to know # of performers at this time! Please let us know by October 16th!

Office Hours for Registration
I hope everyone has had a fun summer! I will be in the office this week for registration on wednesday and thursday from 9:30-11 and on Saturday from 9-12! All of the classes are filling up super fast so if you want to be in a specific class this fall I would hurry on over!
